about
This is Blue Panda Records second release and it's by a quality Dutch producer called Arno Asmus AKA Revolt. He's released tracks back in the golden years on labels like Choo Choo, Bedrock, Bliss, Addictive & Global Underground.
Harbor Sessions make us think of water and rightly so as Arno tells us "It was inspired by the Sunday morning dawn patrol rolling through the Rotterdam Harbor," From the start its a hypnotic rolling piece of epic sonics... A dreamy feel gives way to the sub bassline intro tied down with some subtle percussion work and a kick that takes the listener by surprise.
Track tempo will also surprise as its not the standard dancefloor issue and rather than feel slow this adds to the all round warmth complemented with devastatingly simple but ocean deep stabs.
"Everytime I listen to it I hear something different, so deep... just listen," Lee Wraith
"Loving this, really deep, took me by surprise when I first heard it... solid track," Ben Harding
On 1980 Recordings, “4/4 #40” nails the ominous element of techno & deep house, delivering dance songs with an ominous edge. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 16, 2019
A punchy floor-filler house track from Loophole Recordings heads FLIP3000 and Jimmy le Mac gets a rubbery, spacey rework. Bandcamp New & Notable May 26, 2020
